We are looking for someone who wants to work as a caregiver in our psychiatric emergency department.

The position is a 6-month temporary contract for one of our caregivers who will be on leave. There may be a possibility for extension.

In the emergency department, assessments are made regarding whether the patient needs psychiatric inpatient care/outpatient care or another provider. Patient visits occur both acutely and planned. The emergency department works consultatively, with both patients and internal and external partners. Our catchment area covers all of Skaraborg, and the department is open 24/7.

The emergency department is for those who enjoy a faster pace, coordination, and encounters with various psychiatric diagnoses. It is a modern workplace in new premises that are specially adapted and designed for psychiatry, providing security and comfort for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

As a caregiver, you will work closely with patients in collaboration with the rest of the team. The team consists of doctors, nurses, caregivers, and medical secretaries. Your main responsibilities include supporting and assessing patients, both in the department and through telephone consultations. You will actively participate in the development work of the department.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained caregiver/nursing assistant. Experience in psychiatric care is an advantage. As a person, you are flexible and have a good attitude towards patients and relatives, as well as colleagues. You are independent but also appreciate the strengths that good collaboration brings.
