The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, cultural school, and after-school care. In the administration, there are 138 municipal primary schools where almost 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who collectively work to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Gamlestadsskolan is a K-9 school located in the historic Gamlestaden with children and students mainly from the local area and other parts of Eastern Gothenburg. The district of Gamlestaden is currently in a very expansive phase with several planned projects to become one of Gothenburg's most important hubs for communication, housing, and services in the future.

At Gamlestadsskolan, about 550 students are enrolled in grades K-9, and we also have an adapted primary school and five after-school care facilities where our youngest students can receive care. We focus on developing our teaching. We do this, among other things, with the help of our language policy, which serves as support for planning and implementing teaching. The school is organized so that there are smaller schools within the large school, all to increase proximity and ensure that everyone feels seen. We actively work to create a sense of community where the school's teachers and students jointly feel a responsibility for the school's environment and well-being.

We are now looking for a driven and engaged teacher in home economics for grades 6-9. As a teacher with us, you will belong to a work team where you, together with other colleagues and students, work to develop and improve our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and have the qualifications to teach home economics in grades 6-9, preferably with another subject combination. Experience in teaching is an advantage.

To ensure that you, as a recent graduate, get the best possible start in your career, you will be part of the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy's introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction provides you as a recent graduate with a network with other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Since we have close collaboration within work teams and between teachers at the school, we place great importance on your ability to collaborate. We also see that you are flexible, can adapt to changing circumstances, and see opportunities in changes. You are attentive in your professional role and communicate clearly, engaging others and creating enthusiasm, joy at work, and participation.

In your teaching, you will base your work on LGR 22, and we would also like you to have an interest in continuously developing teaching using computers as a tool.
