The position of social worker is located in the Adult Reception Unit, which includes a reception for adult cases (addiction, social psychiatry, financial assistance, crime, and domestic violence), a domestic violence team, a social intervention group for adults, and housing advisors working to prevent evictions.

The unit consists of a total of twenty employees, including a unit manager and group leaders.

The unit was newly established at the turn of 2024/2025 as part of Stockholm City's change work aimed at providing employees and managers with better organizational conditions, focusing on close and accessible leadership. There will thus be significant opportunities to influence the development of new working methods as an employee with us. The foundation of our work is the belief in the individual's own ability, and we work to help the people we meet to live an independent life.

Your role

We are looking for you who want to become part of our team. As a social worker with us, you will work with the client at the center. You will work with a broad target group and come into contact with unemployment, addiction, long-term mental illness, sick leave, domestic violence, and crime, among others. Your task is to conduct affiliation investigations, receive and investigate applications from adults based on addiction, social psychiatry, financial assistance, and individuals who want to leave a criminal lifestyle.

You will work closely with your colleagues in the reception function, and you will have a rotating schedule for on-call duty. The work also involves providing advisory functions for both citizens and colleagues and working motivationally and proactively with citizens in need of support from social services.

Your qualifications and experience

You have:

• A degree in social work
• Current experience in authority exercise within the reception function

It is advantageous if you also have:

• MI training
• Experience participating in SIP

We are looking for someone who can express themselves well in speech and writing, works independently and systematically, has good availability and service, is calm and stable, and has a positive and solution-focused approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and that you fit well into the workgroup.
