We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

We see you, we hear you, you learn

The new Betty Pettersson's high school in Enskede opened its doors in August 2022.

We are the community-building and involving high school that embraces the outside world and highlights the individual. Here, students can study college preparatory programs and are guided towards their and our common future. We are a real high school where everyone has the opportunity to be part of the whole, and there is ongoing active work to create and facilitate student participation. We know that skilled and present staff are crucial for students to succeed and that the school thus succeeds in its mission. If you think like us, you might be our social pedagogue/safety coordinator that we are now looking for at Betty Pettersson's high school.

Your role

We are now looking for an engaged social pedagogue/safety coordinator for our school. Your role will be to drive the school's safety work together with students, staff, and any external actors such as the police and social services and to be part of the school's student health team.

You will also play a key role in the school's work to promote students' school attendance.

Our social pedagogue/safety coordinator needs to have well-developed communication skills, be a good listener, and a professional helper.

Building relationships with students is a key ingredient in this assignment.

Your qualifications and experience

  • Social pedagogue or similar qualifications.
  • You need to have knowledge of working with students with special needs as well as in-depth knowledge of youth identity, youth cultures, and youth conditions and behaviors in various and difficult life situations.
  • You also need to have knowledge and skills in meeting and handling difficult conversations with youth and managing different forms of conflicts.
  • We are looking for someone who wants and can build relationships with students, believes that every student reaches their full potential, and wants to work to promote their independence. You can work independently and take initiative. In your interactions with students and guardians, you are clear and attentive to students' needs.
  • You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • You have good collaboration skills and can create good relationships as the work involves many points of contact with students, staff, and guardians.
  • We would like you to have experience from previous work in schools.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
