The Social Administration is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventively with support, interventions, and authority exercises for children, youth, families, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

In addition to Rätt Kurva, Unga i Riskzon consists of a counselor within Support Center/Mediation, two coordinators and a project leader focused on SIG/SSPF, two youth therapists, and social workers who handle youth service. A total of nine people work in the Unga i Riskzon team.

In the Open Care unit for ages 13-20, there is also a Youth Center, Mini Maria, and support accommodation Myren. Our unit consists of a total of 19 people. We are a pleasant group with extensive experience in open care.

About the position

Huddinge Municipality is the eighth municipality in Sweden to launch the crime prevention and individualized program Rätt Kurva, in collaboration with the police. Rätt Kurva is a national method aimed at children aged 8–15 who have committed crimes with a risk of escalation. The purpose is to reverse a negative trend through close cooperation between the police and social services, where the social administration is responsible for targeted support to children and families. The goal is to offer an alternative to crime by strengthening protective factors and reducing risk factors, focusing on preventing recidivism.

Rätt Kurva in Huddinge will consist of two social workers. One position has already been filled and will have a coordinating role.

We are now looking for a social worker for the project who will work operationally with cases as an executor. As a social worker, you will work closely with the child and family. You will offer individually tailored support, involve the family’s network, and collaborate with civil society. You have a key role in building trust, motivating, and creating change for the child's future. Rätt Kurva is a voluntary intervention and is provided without a support decision. The program is an offer to the child and family.

As a social worker in Rätt Kurva, you will map the help and support needs of children and other family members, lead the change work, and offer supportive conversations. In the Rätt Kurva program, children and families have several ongoing interventions based on support needs. In this role, you will have continuous contact with other collaborative actors regarding the planning and implementation of interventions aimed at children and families. You are the spider in the web and a support function for your clients. Regular documentation is part of your tasks, which requires you to master the Swedish language in speech and writing and have good computer skills.

Working hours are mainly during the day, but evening hours may occur based on family needs.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with relevant education as a social worker or equivalent education deemed suitable by the employer. Documented experience in working with youth crime as well as children, youth, and their networks. Good knowledge of social services work, including authority exercises, and understanding of working in a politically governed organization. Experience with methods such as MI conversations, COPE, Active Parenting, CBT, RePulse, Crime as a Lifestyle, FFT is meritorious.

Previous work coordinating interventions and collaborating with external actors such as schools and police is an advantage. You are a secure, stable, and flexible person with a good ability to create and maintain relationships. You are unpretentious and easily collaborate in a team while being able to drive processes independently. You have a family perspective in your work, are solution-oriented, and enjoy working in various contexts. You need to be able to conduct parent-supporting conversations and other forms of supportive conversations.

A valid B driver's license and driving experience are required for the position.
