Personal Assistant for Client with Spinal Cord Injury

About the Job:

To be a personal assistant, you must first understand the client's physical disability. Support him with basic human routines such as using the toilet, bathing, dressing, and transferring in and out of bed/wheelchair. Also, assist with daily physical training.
You will learn the routines with the help of a colleague. A lift machine is available. Transfers also require some physical lifting.
The client needs assistance 24/7, but the schedule will be equitable and fair for the entire group.
You will work different days of the week with both day and night shifts.

About the Client:

The client is currently in a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury (level C5-C6) that occurred 14 years ago. The assistance service is manageable if the personal assistant shows willingness and interest in learning, communicating, and continuously improving daily life. The client has no pets and does not smoke.
The client enjoys engaging in activities like any other person of the same age.

Other Important Requirements:

Fluent in Swedish & English, which means correct listening and speaking.
Take initiative and responsibility every day to make the client's life easier.
Communication is key.
