The Swedish Defence Analysis Agency (MTFA) is tasked with monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating operations within total defense from a systems perspective and assisting the government with qualified knowledge bases.

MTFA is under the Ministry of Defence and is located in centrally located premises in Stockholm. The agency was established in 2023 and currently has around 30 employees.

We are now looking for you who are newly graduated and possibly have a couple of years of professional experience – do you want to become one of us?

The Analyst Work at MTFA

The agency works with both government assignments and self-initiated analyses and evaluations with the goal of contributing to a strong and cost-effective total defense. You will be involved in the entire analysis and evaluation process, from developing project and work plans to presentations and reporting. The work may include interviews, surveys, focus groups, games as a method, document or AI analysis. The tasks require knowledge in evaluation and analysis and offer development opportunities. Business trips within primarily Sweden may occur.

You have

· an academic degree in social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, or humanities, or equivalent education that we assess as comparable.

· knowledge of analysis and evaluation methodology.

· very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have

· current experience in developing data analysis supported by machine learning (ML) and/or artificial intelligence (AI)

· knowledge of how the public sector is governed and organized.

· experience from operations within total defense.

· experience in project work.

Other

The place of employment is Stockholm. The position is classified in a security class which requires Swedish citizenship. The position is a permanent employment of 100 percent with a six-month probationary period. For employment, a satisfactory result in the security clearance with background check is required, which is conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act. Start date by agreement.
