The Church of Sweden in Kramfors is looking for a communicator who wants to work strategically to tell what the church is and does, here in our ten parishes in beautiful Ådalen and Höga Kusten.

More than every other person you meet in Kramfors is a member of the Church of Sweden. We are very happy and proud of that! At the same time, not everyone knows what the church is or does – we need to get better at telling that. And this is where you come in. You have a good understanding of people's media habits and can both coach others and work with social media yourself.

A typical day at work might involve bouncing social media posts with colleagues or running a campaign for baptism. Or you might spend most of the day in InDesign making the parishes' activities visible in print. You build and maintain the digital presence of the Church of Sweden in Kramfors and create engagement.

Two of your first assignments will be to develop the parish's strategic communication together with your colleague, both for internal and external communication, and to be a driving force in training and routines for the use of our digital tools, primarily Teams, for both colleagues and elected officials.

In your role, you will also be a key person in developing and implementing effective communication strategies, both internally and externally. You will work with the web, develop new working methods, and ensure that our communication is clear, relevant, and reaches the right target groups.

You will work closely with a communications colleague, other administrative functions, and the parish's other employees. The organization is in a process of competence transition among employees where you will be an important piece in building the future administration and support for operations. Kramfors parish strives for a high level of service both internally and externally.

Main responsibilities

• Develop the parish's strategic communication.
• Develop the parish's work with our digital tools, such as Office 365 and Teams.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to support the parish's goals and activities.
• Manage and update the parish's website and digital channels.
• Create and publish content for both internal and external target groups, in the forms of text, images, and videos.
• Coordinate and implement communication campaigns and projects.
• Develop new working methods and tools to improve communication flow within the organization.
• Collaborate with different parts of the parish's organization to ensure unified and effective communication.
• Follow up and evaluate communication efforts to continuously improve.
• Be responsible for GDPR issues within our organization.

About the person we are looking for

You have relevant education in communication or equivalent and several years of work experience. You also have experience in independent editorial work and producing content for digital channels, as well as good knowledge of publishing tools and Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.). Experience working with moving images is important, as that part of communication needs to be developed. As a communicator, you must have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You should also have experience working and training in Office 365, especially focusing on developing the use of Teams.

You also need knowledge and experience working with laws and regulations related to digital communication, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), copyright, and the Freedom of the Press Act.

Previous experience working within the Church of Sweden is an advantage.

Employment conditions

For the position, you need to have an education as a communicator or similar, have a driver's license, and be a member of the Church of Sweden.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date by agreement. A probationary period may apply.
