IT Consultant Wanted for the Elderly and Care Administration

The Elderly and Care Administration in the City of Gothenburg (ÄVO) is now seeking an experienced IT consultant for the Quality and Development Department, Unit for Digitalization and IT.

Job Responsibilities

As an IT consultant within the Elderly and Care Administration, you will play a central role in supporting the operations with IT issues, technical solutions, and infrastructure. You will be a key resource in identifying needs and opportunities, improving service and accessibility, and ensuring that digital solutions effectively meet the operational requirements. You will work operationally with the unit's assignments and contribute to structuring and transferring knowledge to other employees in an orderly manner.

Your Responsibilities

• Act in a client function with a good understanding of IT infrastructure, from robust fiber and property networks to wireless data communication.
• Support new construction and renovations by specifying and coordinating IT solutions.
• Develop and realize operational solutions in close collaboration with suppliers.
• Contribute to the unit's strategic work and ensure effective utilization of resources.

Your Profile and Qualifications

• Experience working in client functions within IT, including management of server infrastructure, license management, and IT security.
• Good understanding of how municipal operations are organized and governed, as well as experience working in politically led organizations.
• Ability to quickly understand the operational goals and values.
• Strong communication skills in Swedish (spoken and written), as well as good presentation and structuring skills.
