System Technician with Focus on OpenShift and Kubernetes

For an assignment with one of our clients in Gothenburg, Centric is looking for an experienced and dedicated System Technician with solid IT competence and a particular interest in modern solutions within OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container technologies. Responsibilities

In the role of system technician, you will be responsible for the operation and administration of IT environments with a mix of Windows and Linux systems. You will work with maintenance and management of container solutions such as OpenShift and Kubernetes, as well as system administration where GPO and scripting with PowerShell are central parts.

Your tasks also include the operation of web applications via IIS, as well as management and administration of databases such as SQL, MySQL, and Oracle. To ensure a stable and high-performing infrastructure, you monitor systems and work proactively with improvements. Security work is an important part of the role, where you manage firewalls such as Clavister to protect the systems.

In addition, you actively participate in various technical projects, where your broad competence and problem-solving ability become crucial for achieving successful results. This is a role for you who thrive on technical challenges and want to contribute to a stable and development-oriented IT environment.

Your Profile and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with broad experience in IT and who is used to working with both operations and system administration. We would like you to have:

• Experience with container solutions - OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Competence in the operation and administration of Windows and Linux servers.
• Knowledge in database management and monitoring tools.
• Experience in scripting automation, for example in PowerShell.
• Knowledge in Active Directory, Azure, and virtualization.
• Previous work with ITIL processes or equivalent methodology.
