Application Consultant at SEA IT

This position is a recruitment, so the employment will be directly with SEA IT in Kungälv.

Responsibilities

As an application consultant at SEA IT, you will work on implementing and maintaining Windows applications and server environments on commercial vessels. All implementation, maintenance, and development will take place at SEA IT's office in Kungälv, so you will not be onboard the ships. You will adapt the environment using, among other things, GPO to create a secure and optimized IT platform. The team uses tools such as Powershell, Bash, and Fast Track Scripting to create effective customizations and automate the deployment process. Your work will also involve managing installations, configurations, and connections of virtual Windows machines. You will also work on integrating OT into their systems. SEA IT is proud of its extensive portfolio of over 500 different software applications, tailored to the customer's specific environment and needs, meaning that in this role, you will work with centralized management and configuration. SEA IT strongly advocates for scripting solutions to automate and streamline processes. Your skills will be fully utilized, and you will navigate through technical challenges that range from older systems, such as Windows 95 and Windows XP – Yes, you heard right!

Customer contact is a central part of the role, where you will work closely with the customer to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. The role is complex, where you need to find the best solutions to efficiently set up new applications quickly.

Your Profile and Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server and application management
• Skills in GPO, Powershell, Bash, and Fast Track Scripting
• Experience working with large portfolios of software
• Ability to manually test and automate processes
• Knowledge of SQL databases
