Systems Specialist at SEA IT

Responsibilities

In the role of systems specialist at SEA IT, you will actively participate in the development of the company's product portfolio. You will hold a central position within the team, focusing on ensuring that all customer needs and expectations are met. Your collaboration will extend across both 1st and 2nd line departments, which are responsible for handling ongoing inquiries from customers and users. As such, you will take on the responsibility of constructing new solutions or configuring existing systems tailored to a centralized management of the IT environment. You will also have the opportunity to board and see what the environment looks like on-site. SEA IT has a clear focus on prioritizing customer needs and strives to solve any challenges in an outstanding manner. Your role will involve extensive technical work, including scripting with tools such as Powershell, Bash, and Fast Track Scripting. You will work with a variety of systems, from mail servers to digital switches and connections to customers' vessels. As technological development progresses rapidly, SEA IT will continuously explore and implement new solutions to enable progress for both the company and its customers. One example of this is Starlink and the capacity it offers. Your expertise will be fully utilized, and you will navigate through technical challenges ranging from legacy systems such as Windows 95 and Windows XP – Yes, you heard that right!

Your Profile and Qualifications

• Experience working with Windows Server and Linux Server
• Experience working with scripting solutions, such as Powershell and Bash for Linux
• Understanding of networks and firewalls
• Ability to actively participate in product development
• Familiarity with automation tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, or Saltstack
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V
• Knowledge of on-prem clusters and Linux HA clusters
