Your workplace

Departments 64 and 65 are care departments with 16 and 24 beds respectively. Our specialties are orthopedics, medicine, and surgery. With us, you will gain a broad knowledge base and variety in your work. Patient safety, good working environment, collaboration, and flexibility are always in focus.

The sense of community is constantly present at Torsby Hospital, and all units play a central role in the work with and around our patients. We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and staff, where all units and partners are highlighted as an important part of the hub for smooth and safe operations for those who visit us. Good collaboration between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management team are hallmarks of our organization. At the hospital, we care about the health and well-being of our staff, and we have access to our own staff gym and personal trainer.

Your tasks

You will work day/evening or night shifts in a team of nurses and nursing assistants. Your tasks include basic nursing care in orthopedics, surgery, and medicine. Our work model involves close collaboration with everyone in the team, where you collectively plan and perform all nursing care. As a nursing assistant with us, you will have the opportunity to develop both personally and in your competence.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for a qualified nursing assistant; a course in emergency care is an advantage.

You need to be independent and able to make your own decisions when necessary. You see the big picture and are not afraid to take initiatives or rethink when conditions change. You have a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues and find it easy to collaborate with others.
