The Hearing Care is a regional service with about 50 employees that falls under the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic (ENT).

This cohesive operation has the advantage of short lead times and proximity to the relevant profession. We are a habilitation team with many different professional roles. In the children's team, in addition to audiologists, there are doctors, social workers, special educators, speech therapists, sign language teachers, and engineers. Collaboration is a significant and important part of our work. We strive to provide the best care and are now looking for two dedicated audiologists who want to be part of our children's team here in Karlstad, but also join our adult teams.

The Hearing Care for children and youth offers a daily routine with great variation. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction plan, a designated mentor, and collegial supervision from an experienced pediatric audiologist.

Your Responsibilities

As an audiologist with us, you will:

• conduct hearing tests and diagnostics, including special measurements such as BRA, ASSR, focusing on children of various ages
• adapt and ensure the quality of hearing aids for children as well as some adults
• provide advice and support to children and their families
• collaborate with other specialists to ensure comprehensive care
• work evidence-based

Your Skills/Competencies

We are looking for a licensed audiologist, and it is advantageous if you have studied pediatric audiology. A few years of professional experience as an audiologist is required. We prefer that you have experience working with children. To fit in the role, we see that you enjoy collaborating with colleagues and find good patient interaction important. You have problem-solving analytical skills and are self-driven. In your work, you plan, organize, and prioritize effectively, and you have good judgment and empathetic ability to understand others' perspectives or situations. As we are keen to find the right person for the position, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
