Nordmarkens School is located in the southern part of Årjäng town and is the municipality's largest school. It is a K-9 school with approximately 700 students and over 100 staff. We have a newly built building for grades 1-6, including an Adapted Primary School for grades 1-9. Grades 7-9 are in relatively newly built facilities where grades 3-6 also have classes in several practical subjects. Preschool, after-school care, and preparatory classes are also available on the premises.

The Adapted Primary School has about 10 students in grades 1-9. We work in three teams and have an after-school department.

The school has special teachers, special educators, a counselor, a school nurse, a study and career counselor, and through student health, there is access to a school psychologist and school doctor.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teaching assistant in the Adapted Primary School, you will support one or more students in their work throughout the school day and sometimes also during leisure time. It is important that you work closely and are active, especially regarding free play, outdoor activities, breaks, transitions, and practical-aesthetic subjects.

The job requires that you are good at communicating with both adults and children. Each student has their own needs and way of learning, so it is important that you are open to learning new things.

The working hours are distributed over 5 days.

QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant experience working with students in an adapted primary school and experience in the nursing profession is an advantage. Experience working in teams and the ability to contribute creativity and solution-focused thinking is essential. You should be calm, self-sufficient, and have a broad work experience. We value qualities such as responsibility, teamwork ability, and initiative.
