Temporary Art Teacher at Södermalm School

Do you want to help create a good start for children and young people based on their needs and conditions? We are now looking for a temporary art teacher for Södermalm School in Kristinehamn.

The current working percentage is 60% with the possibility of extension and increased working percentage in the form of resources. The temporary position extends until June 18, 2025.

Södermalm School is a K-9 school and, together with Björneborg K-6, forms the central principal area. Together, we work for students' right to a good education, and the staff is the most important resource of the organization. As a teacher, you contribute to the development of the organization in the right direction and provide our students with good conditions to grow and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main task is to plan, execute, and follow up on teaching based on the applicable curriculum and syllabus in the subject of art. You will be part of a working group and subject team where you share experiences, skills, ideas, and joy in work. You work inclusively and in close collaboration with all competencies at the school.

You motivate and inspire your students to learn and support them in their academic and social development.

Pedagogical documentation and attendance management in our digital learning platforms (e.g., Unikum, Edlevo, Google Classroom) are part of the responsibilities, and the position also includes mentoring responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek someone who is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach art. You are confident in yourself and your teaching role and can handle the challenges that arise in and outside the classroom. It is highly meritorious if you have experience working with knowledge-developing methods and meeting children in need of special support.

You are positive, engaged, and contribute structure and joy to both colleagues and students, and you gain energy from and enjoy teaching.

You have a good ability to communicate and explain and adapt your message according to the students' needs. Your teaching inspires learning, and you want to develop and grow together with others.

You are a team player while also being self-driven and taking responsibility for ensuring that all students have the best possible conditions to reach set goals.
