Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet is one of Sweden's newest and most modern high schools and one of the largest.

The school has about 2000 students and 250 staff. The Social Science program is growing, which we are pleased about. Today, we have about 520 students enrolled in the program. The program has three specializations - Social Science, Media, and Behavior, with specialization choices made before the second year.

Our vision is simple. Our students should achieve their goals and be well-prepared for the future. We achieve this by focusing on school joy, good relationships, and quality. As a teacher at Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet, you will be part of a team, and teachers meet regularly in subject conferences. Collaborating, sharing experiences, and learning from each other is crucial for developing our operations. The immediate focus is on implementing the new subject grading reform (Gy25), a development project that will continue over the coming years.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident, engaged, has the ability to inspire, and is attentive to students' needs. You are qualified to teach Swedish and at least one other subject, preferably psychology or English, but other subjects are also possible. You are well-versed in the school's knowledge and value foundation. You are curious and enjoy trying new things while also appreciating order and structure. You are comfortable with modern educational technology and are willing to try new working methods and approaches.

Responsibilities

Starting in March and for one year, we are looking for someone to substitute for an employee going on parental leave. There is a possibility for extension. You will teach Swedish during the spring semester. In the following academic year, the position will be combined with another subject, preferably psychology or English, but other subjects are also possible. The position includes mentorship.

Collaboration and attentiveness to students' needs are important, and you will be part of a cross-disciplinary team. In our development work, we systematically focus on collegial learning, grading and assessment, and accessible learning.

The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.
