Karlstad Parish consists of five congregations, a cemetery administration, and parish services where the HR function is located.
We see that HR issues are an important part of being the workplace and employer we want to be with our 200 employees. Therefore, we are strengthening our HR function by expanding from one to two HR generalists – a new initiative to meet today’s and tomorrow’s needs. As part of Parish Services, our staff and service function, you will have a central role in our work. Parish Services is gathered in the parish house opposite the cathedral with its 18 employees, as well as parts of the cathedral congregation under the same roof. Here we have nice, spacious offices and a common lunchroom where many laughs are promised.
About the role
As an HR generalist, you will have a varied job within the entire HR area, where you work both operationally and strategically. You will become a key person who supports and guides managers and employees in matters concerning:
- Contracts and labor law
- Rehabilitation
- Recruitment
- Negotiations
- Work environment
In addition, you will contribute to investigative and development work, such as updating policies and developing processes. You are also expected to keep an eye on the future development and trends in the HR area to ensure that we stay at the forefront.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant university degree in personnel management or equivalent experience.
- Several years of experience in broad HR work, with a familiarity in interpreting laws and agreements.
- A service-oriented and consultative working style, as well as a good ability to prioritize.
- The ability to create and maintain good relationships with managers and employees.
- Good IT skills and a strong communicative ability, both verbally and in writing.
