Your workplace

The ambulance service in Värmland is county-wide with ambulances located in twelve locations. We are a reasonably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the whole picture and have an impact.

For the summer of 2025, we are looking for new employees for our ambulance stations. Summer positions may lead to permanent employment.

Your tasks

The ambulance service is challenged by the acute care of sick and injured individuals in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that patients receive proper care at the right level. Our goal is to always have a secure patient who knows the next step in the care chain.

Work shifts will be both day and night.

Healthcare is based on our patients' needs and the competence of our staff. We want to advance healthcare together with our employees. We strive for a good working environment with stimulating tasks and an individually tailored onboarding process. All new employees undergo a seven-week introductory and position training.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who are a paramedic or a licensed nurse with at least one year of clinical experience. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good teamwork skills. A B driver's license is required, as well as at least three years of driving experience. A C1/C driver's license is a merit.

Before any potential employment, you must complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free work environment and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.

On Wednesday, February 5, a full day will be held in Karlstad for interviews and work tests. If you are a candidate for the position, you will be invited to the day in a separate email. It is desirable that you bring proof that you can swim 200 meters.
