The Grums Health Center is a well-functioning health center with approximately 7,000 registered patients.

It is located about a ten-minute walk from the transport center and takes about 20 minutes by car from Karlstad.

The health center is operated by Region Värmland and belongs to the Southern Karlstad area, consisting of the health centers Grums, Gripen, Herrhagen, Västerstrand, Skoghall, our digital unit health center Värmland, and the emergency center Karlstad. The health center is staffed by specialist doctors, resident doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, psychotherapists, psychologists, and foot care therapists.

In addition to the medical clinic, the health center also has district nurse clinics, nurse clinics, diabetes clinics, asthma/COPD clinics, heart failure clinics, dementia clinics, nursing assistant clinics, foot care clinics, and counseling clinics. We also provide medical resources to maternal and child health care, child health care, short-term care, LSS, and elderly care facilities.

Over the past four years, there has been a focus on improving medical quality, routines, and work methods, which has yielded good results. Patients are divided by date of birth, and each doctor is responsible for a specific number of dates. We are currently on schedule with annual check-ups and waiting lists, and we have daily team rounds among the professional categories. We have a strong focus on quality and improvement work and therefore closely monitor our quality goals.

Your Tasks

The medical team is a relatively small working group that has developed a distinct working method that values the work environment. As a resident doctor with us, you will be assigned specific dates to be responsible for under supervision. You will have the opportunity to adjust your schedule and daily routine as long as you also take responsibility for the dates assigned to you. There is also the possibility of remote work. You have a study day for half a day each week and supervision on a weekly basis. We also strive to keep our doors open for continuous supervision in everyday life. We have an open climate and often consult with each other within the medical group as well as with other professional categories. Our ambition is for your education to be as rewarding and interesting as possible to provide you with the knowledge and experience you need for your future work as a specialist in general medicine.

Currently, five specialist doctors and two resident doctors work at the health center. As one of our resident doctors is about to finish their specialization soon, it is now time to expand our team with another resident doctor who wants to be part of our community.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician who has a genuine interest in general medicine. We would like you to appreciate quality development and innovation work, but above all, you are an engaged employee with good collaboration skills. It is important to us that you always keep the patient in focus and strive to provide good and safe care.
