Your workplace

The ambulance service in Värmland is regional with ambulances placed in twelve locations. We are a suitably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the whole picture and influence it.

For the summer of 2025, we are looking for new employees for our ambulance stations. Summer substitutes may transition to permanent positions.

Your tasks

The ambulance service is challenged by the acute care of the sick and injured in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that the patient receives good care at the right level. Our goal is always to have a safe patient who knows the next part of the care chain.

Work shifts will be both day and night.

Healthcare is based on our patients' needs and the competence of our employees. We want to drive healthcare forward together with our employees. We work for a good working environment with stimulating tasks and an individually tailored onboarding. All new employees undergo a seven-week introductory and position training.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who are an ambulance nurse or a licensed nurse with at least one year of clinical experience. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good collaboration skills. A B driver's license is a requirement, as well as at least three years of driving experience. A C1/C driver's license is an advantage.

Before any employment, you must complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free working environment and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.

On Wednesday, February 5, a full day will be held in Karlstad for interviews and work tests. If you are relevant for the position, you will be invited to the day in a separate email. It is desirable that you bring proof that you can swim 200 meters.
