Since the position is a summer job, we wish that you are available for work between weeks 23-35. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in good time! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

Working as a guard is perfect for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Sunne, you will become part of a close-knit team. The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Working every other weekend is common.

As a patrolling guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers – primarily at industries, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings from fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you will manage the alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility. Working hours are mainly at night.

As a stationary guard, your main task is to deliver safety to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. Often, you will work at the entrance of a larger company and check those who pass in and out, but you may also perform patrols and camera monitoring. The tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility, often both day and night.

Filip is one of the colleagues who was hired last spring for a summer position and is now continuing his time at Securitas. Here’s what he says about his role:

"The best part of my role is when I can help the customer and leave a positive impression. It is incredibly rewarding to feel that your work is appreciated. A typical day means that I work stationary, where I handle both reception duties and respond to alarms. We also have other assignments in the area, such as traffic monitoring, guiding, and underground patrolling. I was most positively surprised by how friendly people are when we meet them, and how much they truly value what we do.”

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Class B driver's license

Meritorious if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you who are applying are an independent person and trust your own abilities, quickly understand problems, and solve them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security review according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
