Description

We are looking for a new colleague to join our team of assistance officers.

The unit consists of four officers, and all handle cases both according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The unit works in a team-based manner, supporting, co-handling, and transferring knowledge to each other to ensure quality and continuity. The assistance unit for the elderly and disabled is part of the Social Administration and is led by the IFO manager. As an assistance officer, you have a significant role, and our common goal is to provide the best possible service and care to our citizens. Responsibilities

The work as an assistance officer is a challenging and stimulating job. You will primarily investigate, assess, and make decisions in cases according to SoL. The work includes quality assurance of the interventions through follow-up. All documentation is done in the operational system Pulsen Combine and is carried out according to IBiC (individual's needs in focus). A large part of the work also involves planning the return of individuals from inpatient care to their homes or short-term accommodation. The municipality collaborates with the Region through the operational system Lifecare. The work also includes establishing and developing routines on an ongoing basis. A new social services law will come into force in July 2025, with a strong focus on operational development to meet the requirements that the new law imposes on working preventively, being easily accessible, and working evidence-based. You will join a group with extensive experience and high competence, where there is a good atmosphere and community, and where collaboration is seen as a key to achieving results.

Qualifications

You have good knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations, as well as a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. We will place particular emphasis on the following personal qualities: As a person, you have high personal maturity, where you are secure, stable, and thrive in a self-directed role where you find it easy to take initiative. You are structured, with a good ability to organize and prioritize your work effectively. Furthermore, you are flexible and decisive, adapting to changing circumstances and driving processes in a goal-oriented manner. Since the work involves contacts with many partners, you should have very good collaboration skills and a professional approach.

Conditions

Requirements:
Degree in social work, behavioral science, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
Good competence in applicable legislation.
Experience with documentation and computer skills, as well as the ability to express yourself clearly and structured in speech and writing.
Ability to work independently and take initiative but also have good collaboration skills.
Driver's license (B).

Meritorious:
Experience in authority exercise.
Knowledge/training in IBIC.
Knowledge/experience of Pulsen Combine and Lifecare.
Knowledge of Sámi, as Arvidsjaur is a Sámi administrative municipality.
