Gällivare municipality has 11 preschools in the towns of Gällivare, Malmberget, and Koskullskulle. We also have preschools in the villages of Dokkas, Hakkas, and Puoltikasvaara.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for individuals who want to work as substitute teachers in preschool with children aged 1-5 years, either a few hours per week or for a longer substitute position. As a substitute, you will work together with regular educators to carry out educational activities with the children according to the curriculum. You will replace regular staff and perform most of their tasks. You will work daytime, Monday to Friday. You will be offered a rewarding and meaningful job, and your contribution is significant to us.

To work as a substitute with us, you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to read, understand, and speak Swedish
• Have a valid extract from the Police's criminal record

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a high school education, preferably in child care or another education that the employer considers equivalent.

We seek individuals who are interested in working with our youngest children aged 1-5 years, and it is important:
- that you are positive and have confidence in children's abilities.
- that you are interested in using digital tools.
- that you care about building trusting relationships with children and parents and have good collaboration skills.

In accordance with the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an asset when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
