For over 20 years, Gryning has offered HVB and outpatient care for children, adolescents, and families, emergency and foster homes, addiction care, supported apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as LSS housing. We provide counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by the municipalities in Västra Götaland through the four municipal associations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Consultant-supported emergency and foster homes

As a consultant-supported emergency or foster home, you will receive children and adolescents for a shorter or longer period. You will receive financial compensation that allows an adult to be at home full-time or part-time. In addition, you will receive ongoing support from Gryning's staff and external supervision, regular further education, membership in a group of other emergency and foster homes, and the opportunity for relief. Before you become an emergency or foster home within Gryning, you will undergo an assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who can become an emergency or foster home?

An emergency or foster home is a family that wants to open its door and arms to someone else's child. The family situation is not decisive. What is important is life experience, personal maturity, and a safe and stable living situation. Previous assignments or experience working with children or adolescents is an advantage. It is beneficial if you are 30 years or older. You must not appear in the police's criminal and suspicion register, the social insurance agency's register regarding longer periods of illness, or the enforcement authority's register, and there should be a vacant, furnished bedroom for the placed child. An important task is to support the child's relationships with their biological family.

OTHER

Compensation and support

Our families receive financial compensation for the assignment. The compensation consists of expenses that should cover the costs for the child and a fee that is compensation for work performed.
