JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are growing and need another Senior Social Worker to our engaged, competent, and experienced teams. If you want to help create a good everyday life for people with mental disabilities while having fun at work, the opportunity is here with us!

The Social Psychiatry in the center consists of two unit managers, four Senior Social Workers, and 31 Social Workers. We sit together with other units within the support administration in pleasant premises on Första Långgatan. The unit handles cases for adults with mental disabilities who need support.

As a Senior Social Worker in the unit, you will lead Social Workers in their daily work so they can fulfill their assignments. You are responsible for ensuring that the Social Workers work in accordance with the political mandate and the regulations that govern our work. You are responsible for ensuring that case management is carried out according to the social services process, work to quality assure case handling, and ensure that the assistance granted is cost-effective and legally secure. You are part of the unit's management team, which means you work on behalf of the unit manager and are expected to contribute to the unit's goal work and development.

An important part of the job is to adapt your leadership and methodological support to the needs of the Social Workers. You are active in the work for professional collaboration both internally and externally. The role also involves representing the administration in various contexts in the city and representing the board in administrative court and administrative appeals court. The Support Center is characterized by a positive and strong commitment to those we serve, a high level of knowledge, and shared responsibility for a good working climate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with adults with mental disabilities and broad experience in authority exercise within LSS and SoL. You also have experience in other areas of authority exercise. Experience in a leadership role is considered an advantage.

For the role of Senior Social Worker, we are looking for someone who encourages dialogue, participation, and engagement. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.

You use time effectively and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You ensure that work is completed and follow up on results. You can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and suggest possible solutions.
