JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to help make a difference at Lilla Kapplandsgatan's short-term home? We are now looking for a support educator.
Children and young people with autism and cognitive disabilities come to our short-term home for respite. The children and young people have extensive needs for pedagogical support and personal care. The children and young people have respite to varying degrees and periods. The extent is determined by the decisions made within the authority. The operation should function as a respite for our guests' relatives, but also aims to provide guests with a stimulating and restful stay.
You will be part of a team with support assistants, a unit manager, and support educator colleagues. Much collaboration also takes place with other professionals and relatives.
Together with your support educator colleagues, you are responsible for the process regarding documentation, method, and quality development at the unit.
Your tasks include having overall responsibility for documentation regarding implementation plans, summaries, and daily notes. Together with your support educator colleagues, you will plan for the guests' days at the short-term home, receive new assignments, provide method guidance to your support assistant colleagues, lead operational meetings, and be responsible for onboarding together with contact staff.
Your role also includes having a coordinating responsibility for the operation.
You will be part of a network with other support educators and a method developer.
We use Time Care Planning for operationally adapted and flexible schedules. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends with a working time of 38.25 hours/week.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the position of support educator, post-secondary specialization in the disability field is required, encompassing at least 200 YH credits, 120 university credits, or 60 university credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
You have good experience working with people with autism and neuropsychiatric variations (NPF), as well as challenging behavior, primarily with children and young people.
Good experience and knowledge in social documentation. We prefer that you have previously worked in the IT system Treserva.
You have work experience in the methods of Alternative Augmentative Communication and Clear Pedagogy. If you have previous experience with Sign Language Support, this is an advantage for the position.
