JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a support assistant for the Fredriksdalsgatan group home. At Fredriksdal, 6 tenants live where we together create a group home where the tenants are inspired and motivated to use, challenge, and develop their abilities. The target group consists of individuals with diagnoses within the neuropsychiatric spectrum, intellectual disabilities, and also psychiatry.

In the role of support assistant, contact responsibility is included, which means that you have extended responsibility for one or more tenants. This includes developing individually adapted working methods, social documentation, and collaborating in the professional network around the tenant.

The tasks also include medication management according to delegation and common household chores, such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning. As the work is partly physically demanding, it is important that you have the physical ability to perform this. You will work on a schedule covering days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call. Solo work occurs.

We use Time Care Planning for operationally adapted and flexible schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with support assistant training, the Child and Recreation Program with a focus on social work or educational work, or the Health and Care Program. Alternatively, other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

As communication is an important part of the work, it requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing, and you listen to others to understand their needs while encouraging dialogue, participation, and engagement. It is an advantage if you have experience in care and support work.

We also see that you have an open and positive attitude as you base your actions on the user's needs and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. It is beneficial if you have previous experience in social documentation.

Experience and knowledge of the following methods are desirable: LAB (Low Arousal Approach), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and clear pedagogical methods.
