Labor Market and Integration Unit (AMI)

The Labor Market and Integration Unit (AMI) is responsible for all labor market measures within the municipality's employer area to stimulate employment and counteract unemployment in the municipality.

The mission of the Labor Market and Integration Unit is to guide, engage in dialogue with, and provide support to the residents of Borlänge on their path to self-sufficiency. We work strategically and cross-functionally with the municipality's administrations, the Employment Service, the business community, and others. To succeed in our mission, we need to be responsive to the labor market's needs and the individual person's circumstances.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your work consists of supporting, guiding, and motivating the residents of Borlänge towards work or studies and finding their way to self-sufficiency. Based on the individual's circumstances, abilities, and future goals, you will provide support and guidance to approach the labor market through gradual transitions.

The work includes the usual tasks of a labor market officer, such as mapping, support for action plans for personal goals, courses, follow-up work, knowledge of various educational paths, and the labor market's competence supply needs.

You should work in a motivating and solution-focused manner for the individual's progression. Administration in the form of documentation in our case management system VIVA and planning. The tasks may vary over time based on assignments and needs within the organization and the labor market. We work development-oriented and change-focused to adapt to the needs of the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a university degree with at least 180 credits in areas such as social sciences, behavioral sciences, or public health, or other relevant education deemed suitable by the employer. You have good knowledge of the labor market and the conditions set in working life.

You have experience from working within labor market policy activities as well as working supportively and guidance-focused with the participant in mind. You have good documentation skills and excellent and clear communication with participants in Swedish. A driver's license is required to conduct follow-up visits.

It is advantageous if you have training in 7TJUGO, MI (motivational interviewing), NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), and solution-focused approaches. Knowledge of dependency issues, mental health, crime, and cultural differences is also advantageous, as well as experience collaborating with social psychiatry, rehabilitation efforts/agencies/treatment.
