The opportunity

HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables.

For the HVDC Finance team in Ludvika, Sweden, we are now searching for you who have previous experience as a Business Controller and want to join us on our exciting journey ahead!

As a Business Financial Analyst at Hitachi Energy, your mission is to provide valuable financial and controlling support to the organization. You will gather and analyze financial data to ensure accurate insights. By identifying key trends and potential issues early, you can help address them proactively.

It's important for you to communicate critical financial information to the relevant teams within the organization. Additionally, you will suggest actions to improve the financial performance of specific business areas. Your proactive and analytical approach to financial management will drive continuous improvement and support the overall success of Hitachi Energy.

How you´ll make an impact

  • Perform analysis of actual vs. budget & forecast and propose improvement actions.
  • Ensure appropriate cost structure and effective line function controlling; support yearly budget process and establish updated hourly rates.
  • Prevent under-absorption in line functions, identify root causes, and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
  • Support financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting; validate accuracy of financial data through reconciliation and review.
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing.
  • Maintain transparency in financial reporting and disclosures; ensure processes and controls meet group and unit requirements and support internal and external audits with proper documentation.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related area.
  • A couple of years of relevant experience, for instance accounting and controlling.
  • Good analytical decision making and planning skills and structured way of working.
  • Meriting with good working knowledge of SAP S4 Hanna financial module and good skills in Excel.
  • English, both written and spoken, is required. Swedish and/or other languages are considered an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, goal-orientated, and driven person with an ambition to learn and develop, capable of working both alone and as part of a team.

This role can be based in either Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden.
