At the service center, we work together to provide the best possible service to the residents of Avesta - we call it having a citizen-focused approach in every interaction. Our goal is to, together with the operations, create an easy way for citizens to get in touch with us in Avesta municipality.
We are primarily located in a local office on the pedestrian street in Avesta center, but we also staff our two service points in Horndal and Krylbo parts of the week. The service center team currently consists of eight employees, but now we are looking for two new colleagues - could you be one of them?
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a community guide, you are the face of the municipality. You mainly interact with Avesta's residents via phone, but also through email and direct visits at the information desk. You help create an easy entry point to Avesta municipality for people who need to get in touch with the municipality.
In your role as a community guide, you also act as a contact person for a department/operation, to develop better and more accessible services with the citizen in focus. This involves monitoring developments in your field, inspiring the operation to evolve, and leading meetings.
The main task is to provide clear information and good service to our residents. This may involve answering questions, directing visitors to the right department within the municipality's operations, assisting with the service center's computers, and guiding to other functions in society. The task also includes handling error reports, feedback, applications, and notifications, as well as providing support to users of the municipality's e-services.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a keen interest in society and a passion for service. You take responsibility for your tasks and have an interest in guiding and helping others. You enjoy communicating via phone and have good conversational skills. You have the ability to remain calm and act professionally even in high-pressure situations. You will work in our lovely team, which also requires good teamwork skills.
For the position, you need to have:
- Completed high school education.
- Good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
- Knowledge of Office 365, Outlook, and Teams.
- Good system skills and experience working with digital tools.
- Good digital information management - finding information, verifying, and conveying.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Completed a community or social guidance education, or another equivalent education in the professional field.
- Experience in service work/customer service/public service office, or similar tasks.
- Experience in a politically governed operation.
- Proficiency in spoken and written language in additional languages. We are particularly interested in candidates who speak Tigrinya or Arabic.
- Experience in quality work or process management.
- Interest in technology development and digitalization.
