Mechanical Designer at Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Sweden

Are you a mechanical designer who wants to be part of creating future technology? At Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Sweden, we are now looking for someone with education in mechanical engineering or experience in mechanical design to join our Industrialisation team. Here, we work on developing and improving our high-volume trucks, with a focus on innovation and sustainable solutions. You will be part of a small, dedicated team that drives technical development and major projects forward. Your contribution as a designer will be crucial to our success - are you ready to take on the challenge?

About the Position

As a mechanical designer within Industrialisation, you will work with new technology and future solutions that take our trucks to the next level. The role requires an open mind, innovative thinking, and an ability to collaborate both internally and externally to take advantage of the opportunities we see. You and your team will be challenged technically to find innovative solutions that fit both our products and our factories. Each project is unique, and technology choices are made collectively to ensure the best possible results. In Industrialisation, 12 dedicated colleagues work closely together with the latest innovations, trend analysis, and in an open and supportive environment. Together, we develop the trucks of the future.

As a Mechanical Designer with us, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing our trucks in accordance with the latest technology to create conditions for cost-effective and high-quality products.
  • Working on technical challenges to create conditions for cost-effective and high-quality products. Ideas may include alternative steel grades, sheet metal forming of various details, new types of lifting mechanisms, and chassis optimization for modern energy solutions.
  • Working innovatively and with the latest trends in energy and electrical systems such as batteries, motors, and other electrical components together with others in Industrialisation, partners, and suitable suppliers.
