The Medical Specialist Clinic (MSK) conducts a broad internal medicine operation at the Hospital in Motala. The proximity to the University Hospital in Linköping provides good opportunities for collaboration both in clinical practice and in education, research, and development. Our mission includes emergency care, inpatient care, and outpatient care.

We operate within emergency care, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, geriatric orthopedics, hematology, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, and neurology. We currently have 47 care places and about 360 employees from various professional backgrounds working together to provide the best care for the population in western Östergötland.

We are now looking for you who want to become a junior doctor and join the teamwork in our cardiology department, the medical emergency care teams (MAVA), stroke care team, and the geriatric emergency care department (GAVA). Welcome to Motala - Östergötland's lake city!

Job Description

We offer you a varied and stimulating job with primary duties in our medical wards and possibly (depending on experience or after some training) in the emergency department.

You will have the opportunity to work under supervision with a focus on broad internal medicine and opportunities for deepening your knowledge in acute medical care.

We work in teams together with nurses and nursing assistants, and there are also occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and dietitians.

Work Group

You will be part of a medical team with about 30 friendly colleagues. We have an open climate where we maintain a constant dialogue with each other regarding assessment, investigation, and treatment of our patients. As an employee at our clinic, you are expected to participate in the development of the operation and have a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues.

About You

You have a Swedish medical license. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as you will need to communicate fluently with patients, relatives, and colleagues. We also welcome other language skills.

You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and other professions, are empathetic, and care about maintaining good communication with patients and colleagues. The work requires you to have the ability to plan, organize, and structure your work effectively.

You also have an interest and commitment to broad internal medicine and acute internal medical conditions.
