Do you want to work at a treatment clinic? Then we have the job for you!
The main task of the Nephrology Clinic is to investigate patients with medical kidney diseases and to treat patients with chronic kidney failure.
The Nephrology Clinic at the university hospital consists of an outpatient clinic, an inpatient ward, and three dialysis units. Two of these dialysis units are located in Linköping and one in Motala. The dialysis clinic is an outpatient facility where patients come to receive their dialysis treatment.
You are welcome to shadow us for a shift or two to see if this is the right environment for you. We warmly welcome you to become part of our team!
Quote from one of our dialysis nurses:
“You are never alone during a shift on dialysis; there is always someone to ask or get help from. It provides a sense of security, which was one of the things I appreciated during my introduction, and which I still value today, 5 years later. On top of that, we have a fantastic and tight-knit camaraderie among us colleagues. The job becomes more enjoyable and communication improves because we become such a close-knit team. Additionally, I love the humor we have at work, something that is incredibly important even in a professional job.”
Our Offer
For life ahead. Region Östergötland has high ambitions and a responsible mission. It is about health and care, about our region's development, and about those who live and reside here. We want to continue to be at the forefront, with care, research, and education. This means daring to think anew – and having the best employees. Therefore, we offer unique opportunities for further learning and invest in modern environments with effective systems and tools. Many of us meet patients and relatives, while others create the conditions for life-saving interventions. With us, fantastic people work towards the same goal – to make a real difference, and for life ahead.
The dialysis clinic is an outpatient unit where our patients come from home to receive treatment. Here, you will work closely with other nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and paramedics. The work involves an exciting combination of advanced treatment care, medical technology, and patient-centered nursing.
The dialysis clinic has 20 treatment places and is open seven days a week with evening shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when we close at 8:00 PM. As a nurse, you will work an average of just over one evening a week. On other days, we are only open during the day. We have a wish schedule and work every third/fourth weekend.
We are a leading unit where research and development are an integral part of our operations. We make extensive use of technical solutions. For example, each nurse has their own tablet where we can read the patient's journal and check the treatment orders. We also have a digital monitoring program where we sign all treatment settings and, to some extent, monitor the treatment.
