The Eye Clinic is part of the University Hospital's eye department. Our operations are in constant development, and to meet future care needs, we need to adapt our working methods. The Eye Clinic's opening hours are from 07:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. We are closed on public holidays and weekends. We have a rolling 8-week schedule, and you can choose whether you want to work half or full days.

Job Description

As an optician, you will work with your own patient reception as well as in a team. We have specialized and basic diagnoses, so the assignments and opportunities for varied tasks are great. Some of our diagnoses are chronic, and the patient comes to us regularly, while other diagnoses are more acute and result in fewer visits. We have our own emergency reception that is part of our tasks. We work in diagnostic teams, which consist of reception staff, doctors, and administrators.

Work Group

You will work alongside the reception staff, which consists of several professional groups, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses, general nurses, opticians, and nursing assistants. The reception staff consists of about 25 people, but you will also work closely with other staff at the clinic.

About You

You are a trained optician, and a master's degree is an advantage. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other services, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. You also need to be able to handle various IT systems to perform daily care work.
