About the role:
As a component engineer at Saab, you will play an important role in the development and quality assurance of components within electronics and mechanics for use in high-tech systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that the components meet Saab's high standards for quality, safety, and performance. Together with a team of experienced engineers, you will work closely with production and other technical departments to select and test components that optimize the product's function and lifespan.

Your main tasks will include:

• Design, development, and selection of electronic and mechanical components.
• Testing and verification to ensure that the components meet quality requirements.
• Troubleshooting and optimization of components.
• Documentation of technical solutions and processes.
• Coordination with other departments to ensure the components' compatibility with the overall system.

Your profile:
To thrive and succeed as a component engineer at Saab, you need to be technically interested and engaged. You have an academic education in electronics or mechanics and want to grow in a challenging role. It is an advantage if you have some experience in electronics and mechanics, but most importantly, you have the desire to learn and develop.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics, mechanics, or a similar field, and have completed at least one course in mechanics.
• Language skills: Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Other: Swedish citizenship (the position requires security clearance, level RK3)

Meritorious:

• Experience as a component engineer, preferably in electronics or mechanics
• Basic knowledge of chemistry or materials technology
• Experience with CAD programs (preferably CAD 3D)
