Do you want to make a real difference?
Here, you contribute to creating safety for people and communities. What you do matters.
Your role
We are looking for a section manager who wants to lead and be responsible for a section with approximately 25 employees. The GSE Technical Information and AEA Support section has two areas of responsibility. It is responsible for technical information for GSE products (Ground Support Equipment) related to the Gripen system. It is also responsible for technical system support, training, and other expert services within flight safety materials for all flying systems. You will report to the department head and collaborate with key individuals within the group, such as team leaders, technical leaders, and project managers.
As a section manager, you will be part of the department's management team, where your business interest and commitment will contribute beyond your own operational responsibilities. In your work, you will work closely with other managers to achieve the department's goals together.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Lead and develop a team of 25 people, create an engaging work environment, and ensure clear goals.
- Be responsible for the section's operations, such as the development and delivery of technical information and technical system support for flight safety materials.
- Plan resources and coordinate work between the team, technical leader, and project manager to meet deadlines.
- Drive improvements and contribute to the section's long-term goals and strategies.
- Be responsible for setting and maintaining the budget for the section's operations.
The CAMO and Logistic Services department, which you will be a part of, consists of six sections and has over 100 employees located in Linköping, Arboga, Såtenäs, Järfälla, Luleå, Växjö, and Uppsala. We work with CAMO services (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization), customizing maintenance information, operational follow-up, system management, and logistics planning, as well as developing governing routines and regulations for our customers' maintenance operations.
Travel within Sweden is required for this position.
Your profile
As a person, we believe you are driven by coaching, helping, and developing people. You have the ability to be attentive and communicative, both towards employees within the section and towards customers as well as in interfaces within the department and the rest of Saab.
Since the business is in an expansive phase, we are looking for a change-oriented person who thrives in a dynamic environment. You see opportunities in change and have both the will and ability to drive development work to meet new requirements and challenges. You have a holistic view and the ability to lift your gaze from daily operations to contribute to the department's strategic development.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
- Leadership experience, for example as a manager, project leader, or team leader.
- A college or university degree or equivalent work experience in technical information or a related field.
- The ability to switch perspectives from operational to more strategic management perspectives.
- Good knowledge of English and Swedish.
- A valid driver's license (B).
It is a merit if you have:
- Familiarity with FMV and FM organization and maintenance information systems.
- Previous experience in aviation, maintenance, and/or logistics.
- Experience from customer/supplier negotiations.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
What you will be a part of
