About the assignment

We at Novare Bemanning are a proud and approved supplier of the government framework agreement in Sweden. We are currently looking for a payroll administrator for a government agency in Norrköping.

In the role of payroll administrator at the agency, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct and efficient handling of payroll administration for all employees. You will work closely with the group leader and colleagues in the payroll office to administer salary payments, reporting, and support for employees.

You will, among other things, handle payroll-related matters, expenses, advances, and system administration. Together with colleagues in the payroll office, you will support the agency in matters related to salaries and other compensations. The position involves work with the entire payroll process up to the payroll run (such as travel expenses, corrections, driving logs, various leaves, benefits, certificates, and controls).

To thrive in the role, we are looking for someone who is confident in their knowledge. You work systematically and meticulously. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are driven by achieving common goals.

The position is security classified, and you may need to undergo a background check and possible security clearance.

Examples of overarching tasks

  • process and check payroll data
  • produce payroll lists
  • generate reports and statistics
  • account for taxes and employer contributions
  • compile time and absence reports
  • answer questions from employees (e.g. about salary and vacation leave)
  • make calculations and corrections
  • daily management and supervision of operations.

Requirements for the position

  • KY education or similar in payroll
  • at least three (3) years of work experience as a payroll administrator
  • good knowledge of MS Office
  • good knowledge of payroll systems
  • good knowledge of financial systems
  • good knowledge of collective agreements
  • ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
  • able to provide references for previous similar work

Merits for the position

  • experience with the Personec P 2 payroll system

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time with a planned start on February 10 and lasts for 6-9 months, with the possibility of extension. The placement is at the agency in Norrköping, with the opportunity for remote work after the initial period.
