The Company

Sematic was founded in 2013 by three engineers from Linköping University. The company's focus has been and continues to be on facilitating staff scheduling at large hospitals with user-friendly interfaces and automated optimization features.

The idea was born and developed with the support of healthcare personnel at Region Östergötland. Sematic's founders have worked directly and actively with the region's staff to develop solutions that address the core scheduling problems in healthcare. This includes solving the significant mathematical complexity and meeting the requirements for a high degree of user-friendliness. Today, the tool is a market leader, confirmed by Sematic winning every tender they have participated in. Among the customers are now several regions and hospitals that have all signed multi-year contracts.

Sematic has grown steadily to meet customer demand. Last year, the workplace was expanded by moving to new office premises in Linköping, and now it's time for more talents to join the competent and driven team.

Responsibilities

As a system expert at Sematic, you will have a broad and varied role focused on meeting customers' needs in their staffing planning and scheduling. You do this by listening and understanding the type of business they conduct and how its structure can be best set up in the tools provided by Sematic. It's about finding the right puzzle pieces for customers in the setup/configuration of our tools so that they can maximize the benefits to solve their tasks in resource allocation.

In addition, you will be involved in collecting and conveying feedback and insights from customers that can be incorporated into the solutions Sematic delivers, including participating in testing and evaluating new functionality. As a new employee, you will collaborate with other team members to achieve the best solutions and develop within the company. The work is based on freedom with responsibility, where you also have the opportunity to develop through a lot of feedback and new challenges.

Furthermore, you and other colleagues provide technical support to end users.

Experience and Personal Qualities

• You are knowledgeable about the differences between planning balance and flex balance
• You understand the differences between vacation quota and working time reduction (night reduction)
• Meritorious: experience in staffing in healthcare, individual schedule planning, physician scheduling, TESSA
