HR Consultant for Mjölby Municipality

The HR and Payroll Department is responsible for HR and payroll matters in the municipality as well as for payroll management in Vadstena Municipality. The department consists of HR specialists, HR consultants, payroll specialists, system administrators, and a payroll manager. HR specialists have a central position in the HR and Payroll Department, while HR consultants are located in the three largest administrations. The HR Manager will be your closest supervisor. We are now looking for an HR consultant to be based in the Education Administration.
The Education Administration consists of over 900 employees and is responsible, under the Education Committee, for the municipality's preschool, compulsory school, leisure center, special school, upper secondary school, upper secondary special school, adult education, and commissioned education.
Job Responsibilities
As an HR consultant in the Education Administration, you will work with the administration's management and managers on HR-related issues. You will participate in the administration's management team work and cooperation group, as well as attend various management meetings within the administration. You will provide advice and support to management, managers, and employees, with a focus on a municipality-wide employer perspective based on our processes, goals, and results. In practice, this includes participating in/driving competence supply work within the administration, working to reduce sick leave, and supporting managers in rehabilitation and various personnel issues.
Together with the Education Administration's management, you will create structure, follow up, and develop HR work in the administration. The work is based on existing HR processes, where the HR Manager is responsible for developing and coordinating these. In your work, you will have the support of the HR and Payroll Department's organized meetings, guidance on personnel issues, development days, and ongoing competence development. Collaboration with your HR colleagues in the HR and Payroll Department is a natural part of your daily work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree in HR/personnel management or equivalent as assessed by the employer. You have several years of experience in a wide range of HR work and are accustomed to working with various IT tools. It is advantageous if you have experience in HR work within a politically governed organization and/or in the field of education. Knowledge of the laws and agreements related to municipalities is also advantageous. A driver's license is required for the position.

To succeed in this role, you need to have good communication skills in both speech and writing and be able to work well with others. You are attentive and value building and maintaining good relationships with those around you. You are self-reliant and can set goals, plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently. Furthermore, you are results-oriented and committed to addressing, guiding, and following up on the needs of the organization.
