Job Description & Offer

We are looking for a friendly, empathetic, and responsible person to work as a house host/hostess at the Ronald McDonald House in Linköping. In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming families to the house, which always needs to be staffed at night with someone available to answer questions and support the families. As staff, you will also assist with cleaning, laundry, and other chores. After the evening reception, you will stay overnight to help with various tasks in the morning, such as preparing for meetings, setting up the kitchens, entrances, and opening the office. The working hours are weekdays and weekends between 19:45-07:45 with a "sleeping shift" around 22:00-07:00.

The Ronald McDonald House is a non-profit foundation with the vision of making life easier for seriously ill children and their families when the children undergo treatments at the hospital. The organization offers families accommodation at the Ronald McDonald House where they can stay in a safe and pleasant, home-like environment. The house enables a change of environment for the families and sometimes even for the sick children. The house is located a stone's throw from the hospital area, which can be reached by a short walk.

Personal Profile

We are looking for someone who is humble, passionate about helping others, and wishes to have a part-time job where you make a compassionate contribution. Ronald McDonald needs empathetic and responsible individuals who can meet families in crisis and be attentive to their needs during their stay. We are looking for someone who wants to work approximately 4 - 6 night shifts per month for at least one year ahead. Meritorious is volunteer work and experience in healthcare. You need to be able to show that you have no record in the criminal record register.
