About us

Kalix Riding Association is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Swedish Equestrian Federation. We have 12 school horses/ponies and about 150 rides per week. We are a small association with high ambitions! The well-being of the horses and our values Joy, Openness, Community, and Safety permeate everything we do.

We operate at the equestrian facility of Kalix municipality. There is a newly built school stable, a member stable with 21 spots, two warm indoor riding arenas, a large outdoor arena, and a walking trail. The facility is beautifully located next to the Kalix River.

The daily operations are led by our operations manager together with employed horse and stable caretakers as well as riding instructors on behalf of the board. Currently, the association has 4 employees.

About the position

We are looking for a riding instructor who wants to contribute to the development of the riding school and the association! The position includes:

• Teaching horse knowledge and riding to children, youth, and adults at different levels

• Training school horses

• Horse, stable, and facility management

• Some administration

• Other tasks at the riding school and boarding stable

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good horse and riding skills

• Has good pedagogical, communicative, and leadership skills

• Has a positive attitude

• Is passionate about supporting others in their development

• Enjoys working both independently and in a team

• Has a strong focus on safety

• Has a driver's license (B)

Meritorious qualities and skills:

• Certification SRL 1-3

• Active rider in show jumping and dressage

• Tractor experience

• Expertise in show jumping or driving

• Previous work experience in the industry

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position is a permanent full-time employment (or as agreed). We have a collective agreement. The position involves varying working hours with scheduled work during the day, evening, and weekends. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

Selection is ongoing, the position may be filled before the application deadline. Presentation of an extract from the criminal records register will be required upon employment.
