Senior Social Worker to the Adult Reception Unit

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a senior social worker for a permanent position in the Adult Reception Unit. In the Adult Reception Unit, we work with emergency services and investigations related to domestic violence, emergency assistance, social housing, and addiction, as well as other social issues. The unit currently consists of 19 caseworkers and four senior social workers, and we are located at Förstamajgatan 2A in Kortedala.

In the group you will lead, you will supervise six caseworkers in their daily work. In this role, you will act as an expert and support caseworkers with prioritizations in their daily tasks. You will be responsible for reviewing case management according to current legislation and guidelines. You will read written materials and provide feedback to caseworkers on their work. You need to be well acquainted with relevant methods, applicable guidelines, and legislation for the tasks assigned to the unit. The role also includes introducing new caseworkers to the work, conducting statistical follow-ups, and implementing new working methods.

As a senior social worker, you will work closely with the unit manager and the other senior social workers. It is important that you have the ability to collaborate with the unit manager to create a good working environment in the group you lead. You will collaborate with the other senior social workers in the unit and within the Social Administration Nordost, and you will also collaborate with external actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants for this position should have a degree in social work, with experience in the relevant field. We therefore expect you to have experience in social work related to domestic violence, emergency assistance, social housing, and addiction, with a focus on LVM. We also expect you to have experience working with LVU. If you have previously worked in a supervisory position or as a senior social worker, we consider this an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have language skills beyond Swedish.

To succeed in the role of senior social worker, you must have the ability to take responsibility for your own and shared tasks, ensuring that work is carried out correctly. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You base your actions on the equal value of all individuals and create a good atmosphere in meetings, where you maintain an open and positive attitude with the needs of users as the starting point for your actions. You are a clear and effective communicator who can influence decisions in a certain direction and encourage good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation. Furthermore, you see opportunities and can pedagogically describe changes while handling criticism constructively, and you have the ability to drive long-term and sustainable change efforts.

To succeed in this role, we also see that you have the ability to work effectively, balance various demands, and remain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between issues and individuals and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure. You stand by your decisions and can convey uncomfortable messages when necessary. Some overtime may occur.
