Male Assistant Needed for 19-Year-Old Boy in Angered – 100%

A 19-year-old boy living with his family in Angered is looking for a personal assistant who can be a part of his daily life. He needs help with mobility, ADL (activities of daily living), and navigating the day in a way that works for him. But the job is not just about practical help – you will also become an important part of his social life, someone he can have fun with.

What we are looking for:

• You are physically strong and can handle lifting and other physical tasks.
• You are a team player – you will work alongside another assistant - double assistance.
• You have patience, a good sense of people, and can read situations.
• You can communicate clearly in Swedish, both to understand and be understood.
• You are smoke-free, as this is a smoke-free workplace.

The position is 75-100%, scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. It starts as a temporary position and may later transition into a fixed-term employment as long as the assistance assignment lasts.

GIL has been coordinating personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Typically, the person receiving assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with specific knowledge about the individual is appointed.
