Your Responsibilities

The Prosecution Authority is looking for someone who wants a central role in combating crime. As a prosecutor, you will apply the law in theory and practice with great personal responsibility and in collaboration with others.

As a prosecutor trainee, you will work with all aspects of ongoing criminal cases at a public prosecutor's office. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions regarding prosecution, and represent the case in court.

Your Qualities and Qualifications

We are looking for a Swedish citizen with a Nordic law degree. Upon starting as a prosecutor trainee, you must also be qualified as a clerk from a district court or administrative court.

As a person, we want you to:

have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law
be legally skilled
have the ability to collaborate and lead others
be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions
be stable and have good judgment
have good analytical skills and critical thinking ability
have good communication skills.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

It is an advantage if you have experience in relevant qualified legal work in addition to your clerk qualification.

Admission Procedure

During your time as a prosecutor trainee, you will have a fixed-term employment of 9-12 months. After that, a permanent position will follow.

Tests may occur during the recruitment process.

The Prosecution Authority is a preparedness authority. Upon employment, you may be assigned to the Prosecution Authority in case of war. Read more under Work with us.
