The Workplace

The IT department consists of nearly 50 employees, organized into three units, which together manage the municipality's common IT infrastructure and deliver IT services to all operations.

While we deliver, maintain, and develop our IT services and provide support in our daily work, we are also an important partner in the municipality's business development with digitalization as support.

We have worked process-driven according to the ITIL framework for many years and use an agile approach in the development of our IT services. Our goal is to continuously improve both customer focus and work processes, and we strive to make things better every day than the day before.

As a technical communicator, you will be employed under the Service IT unit, which is responsible for service and support to the corporation's employees. You will be part of our agile team ITSM.

Responsibilities

As a technical communicator in the IT department, you will be involved in various assignments and responsible for creating clear and functional manuals, instructions, and user guides.

You will make technical information understandable and user-friendly for different target groups by using image, film, modeling, and text editing tools (e.g., Infocaption, 2c8).

As a technical communicator, you will not only work in the agile team ITSM but also support other teams in the IT department as needed.

You will also manage our blog and publish information on our intranet.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education as a technical writer, technical communicator, or other experience that we deem equivalent.

You should have experience producing information for different target groups.

You need to be self-driven, proactive, and it is especially important to have good collaboration skills as you will have many different points of contact. You should also be able to easily translate a verbal conversation into written text.

We would prefer you to have several years of practical work experience in the field.

Meritorious

• Familiarity with the ITIL framework
• Familiarity with agile work
• Well-versed in M365 products
