The Support, Care and Welfare Administration (SVO) is an administration focused on innovation and development. The administration employs nearly 900 staff members in the areas of elderly care, home care, support for people with disabilities, health care, and at our assistance office. The core mission of the administration is to provide care, nursing, and rehabilitation for those in need and to support and assist people in living an independent life.

Within our administration, we work person-centered with the user in focus. The work is based on the individual's abilities, needs, and conditions in all parts of the care and support process. A good relationship and mutual respect between the user and staff are important aspects. This includes creating simple and clear pathways into care, safeguarding self-determination and participation, and utilizing the individual's own resources.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Development Leader works across the entire administration with health-promoting activities and strengthening the users'/citizens' opportunities for a good life.

The role includes both long-term assignments as well as recurring shorter tasks and project-based assignments. The job responsibilities include both strategic and operational elements as well as development work.

The focus is on preventive activities from a social perspective for the administration's target group both internally and externally. Assignments can also be initiated through political initiatives and the administration's management group.

The assignment as a Development Leader should be carried out with knowledge of current legislation, guidelines, and goals for the operations.

The responsibilities of the Development Leader include:

  • collaborating internally and with external organizations
  • planning and being responsible for health-promoting activities that contribute to maintaining well-being and good health among the target group
  • being present in our activity centers, planning, participating in, and leading activities
  • positively stimulating activity and social interaction among the individuals attending the services
  • handling marketing of the services
  • monitoring the environment and initiating new activities
  • coordinating and developing support for relatives
  • managing grant applications and association funding

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant higher education/university degree for the role, such as public health expert, social worker, educator, or similar.

You should have experience and good knowledge of working with seniors or people with disabilities.

As a person, you are development-oriented and have the ability to inspire and engage others. The work largely requires you to be able to work independently but also to collaborate with various partners. You need to easily connect with people and preferably have experience in leading groups. Furthermore, you should be flexible and service-oriented. If you are also creative, you will excel in this role.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
