At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are around 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are now looking for an operations expert for the Swedish Migration Agency's regional office in Malmö.
With us, you will work on current societal issues influenced by what happens in our surroundings, focusing on security, preparedness, and competency matters. We offer a dynamic environment characterized by meeting people and continuous learning. The regional office supports section and regional management. The office works with operational planning, processing procedures, prepares decision-making materials, conducts investigations, coordinates reporting, and writes consultation responses to the head office and agency-wide departments. The regional office is the entry point for external and internal inquiries and has a coordinating responsibility for collaboration with other authorities, regions, municipalities, and county administrative boards.
What does an operations expert do?
As an operations expert, you work at a strategic level and have a regional approach. You work with several of the Migration Agency's processes focusing on crisis preparedness, total defense, and competency coordination. The work is carried out in close collaboration with section management and other operations experts.
As an operations expert, you prepare issues for regional management and section management and work with planning, coordination, follow-up, analysis, forecasts, and environmental monitoring within the area. Part of the work consists of qualitative and quantitative follow-up and analysis of the agency's results and development. The role also includes establishing action plans, writing statements and consultation responses, and preparing cases for decision.
The work involves collaboration with other regions and national departments and participating in working groups within the area. Collaboration with external parties is also part of the assignment.
Who are you?
You are a good representative of the Migration Agency and the region. You have a respectful and unpretentious approach and demeanor both internally and externally. You are driven, think strategically, and have a broad perspective on issues. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. Furthermore, you are meticulous and well aware of goals and quality, placing great importance on meeting these requirements. You have analytical skills and can independently identify issues that need further investigation. You actively participate in our improvement work and show commitment and flexibility towards our mission and your tasks. You have good collaboration skills and value working in an environment where we work together to perform our tasks and assignments. An important quality is the willingness and ability to share your expertise.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.
You who apply have:
- an academic education of at least 120 credits with a legal or social science focus
- experience in analysis, method development, change management, and follow-up work
- good communicative ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- good knowledge of the Office suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience in coordinating and implementing working methods and methods regarding security protection, regulatory-driven preparedness, crisis management organization, methodology for crisis preparedness, total defense planning, and strategic work against undue and unauthorized influence, corruption, and irregularities.
- experience in supporting managers and management teams.
- experience in internal governance and control.
- experience from working in staff or office operations within public administration
- experience and good knowledge of the Migration Agency's mission and operations
Information:
Employment type: permanent employment with a possible initial probationary period
Working hours: office hours
Location: Malmö
Start date: June 1, 2025, or by agreement
Security clearance with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there are requirements for Swedish citizenship. Employment is contingent upon a successful security clearance.
