ABOUT THE POSITION:

Friday is seeking a Junior Lawyer on behalf of a client who wants to take on an exciting role within the defense industry. In this role, you will be an important part of the team handling complex contracts and business legal issues. You will have the opportunity to work with extensive documents and agreements from international actors, support procurement and negotiations, and contribute legal expertise in crucial business decisions.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and reviewing contracts and legal documents.
• Supporting the procurement team in negotiations, both in Sweden and internationally.
• Assisting with strategic support to manage supplier deviations and terms.
• Being involved in drafting and ensuring agreements that meet both business goals and legal requirements.

The position involves travel between Malmö and Karlskrona approximately once a month as well as to other European destinations with 1–2 overnight stays per month.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career as a lawyer who wants to develop within commercial law, procurement, and contract management. You have recently graduated or will graduate in law this summer, or you have worked for a year as a lawyer and want to deepen your knowledge in this area.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have a law degree, preferably with a focus on business law, international law, or commercial law.
• Have a strong interest in commercial law, focusing on procurement and contracts (rather than wanting to work as a defense attorney).
• Are eager and committed, with a desire to roll up your sleeves and build your career from the ground up.
• Have a forward-thinking attitude and confidence that allows you to take space in negotiations and work comfortably in a dynamic environment.
• Are analytical and meticulous, with the ability to handle large amounts of information and draw strategic conclusions.
• Are a team player who thrives in a close collaborative environment and wants to contribute to the team's success.
• Are fluent in Swedish and English.

Experience from the defense industry or having completed military service or similar is considered an advantage.

We are looking for someone who sees this as an exciting opportunity to grow in a socially impactful industry and who has the ambition to become an expert in commercial law and contract management. The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. Our client has requirements for security classification which may entail requirements for certain citizenship.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consultancy assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
