We are now recruiting a personal assistant for one of our younger male clients in Sölvesborg.

Working as a personal assistant means helping a person with disabilities to live their daily life like anyone else. In other words, you do (or assist with) what the person would otherwise do on their own. The tasks vary depending on the disability, interests, and personality.

Our client is a wheelchair-bound guy in his 30s. His disability is extensive, which means assisting in all aspects of his daily life. This primarily involves various activities, training, transfers, meals, and personal hygiene. The client's daily life is varied but still routine-based.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

Employment type: As long as the assistance assignment lasts (trial employment applies)

Working hours: Varying times day/evening/night including every other weekend according to a rolling schedule

Start date: By agreement, recruitment is ongoing.

The employment is covered by a collective agreement between Fremia and Kommunal.

Before starting the employment, you must present a valid extract from the criminal record.

YOUR PROFILE

Since the position requires a long introduction, you cannot see it as a temporary solution. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As a person, we prefer that you are social, attentive, and good at communicating. Since our client does not speak, it is extremely important that you, as an assistant, can interpret his signals and still maintain a frequent dialogue where our client can respond in his own way. We also value work ethic and flexibility within the team.

Having previous experience as a personal assistant is not a requirement but is advantageous. We also view education as a personal assistant, caregiver, nursing assistant, or other equivalent qualifications very positively.
